Start Menu Coming To Windows RT 8.1

However, still no Windows 10 upgrade

You might be forgiven for looking disapprovingly upon Microsoft for ignoring Windows RT users and their desire to upgrade to Windows 10. But there is good news for users of this OS and that is that Microsoft are not giving up on you just yet!

According to reports by Winbeta, an update for RT will take place in September, which will bring the long requested Start menu to the OS. It’s also reported that an improved lock screen is coming with this update. Whilst not exactly a substitute to missing out on a Windows 10 update, this news will undoubtedly be music to RT users’ ears.

Microsoft say that users of the OS should keep an eye on their system for the update.
