Activating 2FA can prevent 99.9% of account compromise attacks (Microsoft)
Thankfully, we are nearing a point in time where passwords will be a thing of the past. Changing your passwords every 30 days is a pain and can make them easy for hackers to predict. Recently, Microsoft has reported that this practice is less safe than other methods of account security such as 2FA (Two-factor authentication).
Radius strongly recommends you to implement 2FA on your Microsoft 365 account if you have not already done so. This is an easy step to prevent 99.9% of account compromise attacks. You should also activate 2FA on any other online account that contains important information (personal email, social media and websites etc).
Gary Frehill, BD Manager at Radius, comments:
“Cybercriminals thrive on uncertainty and are taking advantage of IT security weaknesses brought about by remote working. From multiple breach investigations, we see first-hand the rise in sophisticated phishing email campaigns. The best cybersecurity advice I can give anyone today, is to activate 2FA for all your business and personal apps”.
